Duties & Responsibilities
The Lift Engineer will oversee the coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of lift systems within the project.
Review lift designs, shop drawings, and technical submissions for compliance.
Coordinate with consultants, M&E teams, structural/architectural trades, and lift subcontractors.
Supervise lift installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards.
Conduct site inspections, identify defects, and follow up on rectification.
Support procurement activities and evaluate proposals from lift vendors.
Provide evaluation/findings and project results to HQ Tokyo in Japan on a regular basis.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience within the Building Construction industry.
Should possess a minimum qualification of Degree in Engineering or Architecture or equivalent qualification.
Ability to prioritize tasks well and able to work independently.
Able to work under stress and complete tasks within set deadlines.
Fluency in spoken and written Japanese would be advantageous as the incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate with Japan Head Office.
