Job summary
A leading bank in Singapore is looking for a Project Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will develop risk control frameworks and liaise with the head office in Tokyo, requiring Japanese proficiency. Strong communication skills and a background in Business or Finance are essential. This role involves collaboration with senior management and preparation for meetings with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business/Finance is required.
- Experience in developing and implementing risk control framework.
- Proficiency in Japanese is preferred for reporting needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects to fulfil regulatory requirements and audits.
- Liaise with head office and report incidents to the Japanese Financial Service Agency.
- Implement and maintain effective risk controls.
Skills
Education
- Project management to fulfil regulatory & audit requirement (e.g. Volcker Rule, Environment Risk Management)
- Liaise with head office (tokyo) to be align with global initiatives and report incidents to Japanese Financial Service Agency.
- Ensure the implementation of risk control frameworks and establishment of efficient risk controls across APD.
- Represent the interests of 1st line of defence control owners and handle with requests from front office such as enhancements on system / procedures.
- Collaborate closely with senior management, planning team in SNG/HO and front office to workfor the re-organization, enhancement of TOM or group governance, while evaluating potential risks and challenges as necessary
- Support the preparation and coordination of meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including Executive Management Committee meetings, and regulatory inspections.
- Degree in Business/Finance
- Good working knowledge of developing and implementing risk control framework
- Prior business plannning and/or control in banking
- Proficiency in Japanese is preferred as this role needs to prepareregular reports to Japanese Financial Service Agency and to liaise with Head Office
- Knowledge of Japanese Banking Law is an advantage
- Strong comunication skills (written and spoken)
