Job summary
A listed construction company in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager - Finance and Accounting who is a Japanese speaker. This role involves preparing consolidated financial statements, managing financial data from group companies, and improving the consolidation accounting process. Ideal candidates should be adept at financial reporting and budget management.
Responsibilities
- Collect and check financial data from group companies and prepare consolidated trial balance by quarter.
- Prepare consolidation journal entries for various transactions.
- Prepare quarterly consolidated reporting package and its supporting documents.
- Respond to queries from head office regarding the consolidation package.
- Improve the consolidation accounting process.
- Prepare consolidated budgets and update performance forecasts.
- Prepare monthly cash and loan report.
Our Client is a listed Japanese Construction Company. The Assistant Manager—Assistant Manager - Finance and Accounting (Japanese speaker) role is primarily responsible for preparing and reporting consolidated financial statements.
You will be reporting to the Finance and Accounting Manager.
- Collect and check financial data from group companies and prepare consolidated trial balance by quarter.
- Prepare consolidation journal entries (e.g. elimination of investment and equity, accounting for equity method, elimination of intercompany transactions, unrealized profit).
- Prepare quarterly consolidated reporting package and its supporting documents (e.g. account details for fixed assets, securities, OCI).
- Respond to queries from head office regarding consolidation package.
- Improve consolidation accounting process.
- Prepare consolidated budgets and regular update of performance forecasts.
- Prepare monthly cash and loan report.
