Senior Civil Engineer
Job summary
A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead civil engineering works for a land reclamation project. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience, including 2–3 years in land reclamation or marine infrastructure. Candidates should have strong technical skills, familiarity with local regulations, and excellent leadership capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on significant projects within a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of civil engineering experience, with 2–3 years in land reclamation or marine infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of reclamation processes and marine works.
- Familiarity with Singapore construction regulations is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day civil engineering works for the land reclamation project.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor construction activities and conduct site inspections.
Skills
Education
- Lead and supervise day‑to‑day civil engineering works for the land reclamation project, ensuring safety, quality, and progress targets are met.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and method statements, providing feedback and solutions when needed.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor ground improvement works, marine construction activities, and reclamation processes such as dredging, filling, and soil improvement.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Manage project documentation, including reports, records, permits, and design submissions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, workplace safety, and environmental standards.
- Support planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize project timelines and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of civil engineering experience, with 2–3 years in land reclamation or marine infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of reclamation processes, ground improvement methods, marine works, and coastal engineering principles.
- Experienced in reviewing engineering designs, solving site technical issues, and coordinating with multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Familiar with Singapore construction regulations, codes, and authority submission requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Able to work independently and lead on‑site activities with minimal supervision.
- Able to work in Tuas
