Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. seeks a youth worker to support the Harbour activity centre, interacting with students and promoting wellbeing. The role requires English fluency, good communication, and the ability to work as part of a team within a school setting.

Applicants should have MOE registration and ideally 3 years’ experience with disadvantaged secondary students. The role involves collaboration with teachers and potential tasks beyond regular duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the Harbour school activity centre.
• Interact with students who drop-in and engage with them.
• Identify students needing socio-emotional and mental well-being support and provide intervention recommendations.
• Guide students in driving elements of the activity centre.
• Support activities with teachers-in-charge, within or out of school.
• Perform other tasks to support the programme as agreed.

Job description

The work scope of the youth worker would be:

. Support the smooth running of school activity centre (Harbour) Interact and engage with students who drop-in

. Identify students who need socio-emotional and mental well-being support, and provide intervention recommendations

• Guide students in driving elements of the school activity centre Support students in operating school activity centre (Harbour)

• Support any activities (within or out of school) with teachers-in-charge

• Perform any other tasks to support the programme, as agreed between the Contractor and School Leader/Key Personnel.

The Personnel should minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

1. Able to read, write and speak in English.

2. Have good communication and inter-personal skills.

3. Is a good team player and responsible in carrying out tasks in school when duties are assigned.

4. Can work independently

5. Is passionate to engage and support high-needs students

All Instructors should have preferably 3 years of experience working with secondary school students of disadvantaged backgrounds.

All instructors must be registered with MOE
