Job summary

GREENMARK CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) for the Jurong Island project.

You will serve as the designated WSHO and Environmental Control Officer, overseeing safety, health, and environmental aspects to ensure compliance with laws, project standards, and company policies. You will implement and monitor the WSHMS and EMP, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and coordinate with clients, authorities, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in construction.
• Must be a registered WSHO with MOM.
• Experience in developing and implementing Risk Management Plans (bizSAFE Level 2 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Singapore WSH/regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication, coordination and report-writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to commence work immediately or on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager/Project Manager in safety, health, environmental and welfare matters to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, project specs and company policies.
• Serve as the designated WSHO and ECO for the project.
• Implement, monitor and maintain the WSHMS and EMP.
• Conduct daily site safety, health and environmental inspections; identify hazards and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Ensure risk assessments, SWPs and environmental control measures are implemented and complied with on site.
• Investigate workplace accidents, near misses and environmental incidents; prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental controls (dust, noise, waste, water pollution, erosion, vector control, housekeeping).
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, MOM, NEA and others on safety/environment matters.
• Conduct safety/environmental inductions, toolbox talks and training for project personnel.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly safety and environmental reports.
• Ensure compliance with WSHA and Environmental Public Health Act and project requirements.
