Job summary

HD CONTRACTOR PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a qualified Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to oversee safety and environmental compliance on site, ensuring MOM, NEA, and BCA regulations are met.

You will lead risk management, review SWPs and permits for high-risk activities, conduct inductions and drills, and coordinate with authorities. The role requires ISO 45001/14001 awareness and a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree or diploma in Safety, Environment or related field.
• Registered MOM WSH Officer in Singapore or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of MOM WSH Act, NEA regulations and BCA requirements.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is preferred.
• Able to lead audits, investigations and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the WSHO and ECO for the project, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Develop and implement WSH and environmental policies and programs.
• Lead risk management, hazard identification and control measures.
• Review SWPs, method statements, and permit-to-work for high-risk activities.
• Coordinate safety meetings, inductions, drills, and training.
• Liaise with MOM, NEA, BCA and other authorities on inspections and compliance.
• Oversee environmental management, including air, noise, waste, and water discharge controls.
• Maintain documentation for WSH and EMS systems (ISO 45001/14001).
• Lead incident investigations and recommend preventive actions.
• Ensure workers' health and heat stress management measures.
