Job summary

GREENSAFE INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. seeks a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) cum Environmental Control Officer (ECO) for a construction project in Singapore.

You will serve as the WSHO/ECO, implement the WSHMS and EMP, and perform daily site safety, health, and environmental inspections. The role requires at least 3 years in construction, MOM WSHO registration, NEA ECO registration, and proficiency in risk assessments, SWPs, and environmental controls.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Registered WSHO with MOM.
• Registered ECO with NEA.
• Experience in developing and implementing Risk Management Plans (bizSAFE Level 2 or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH and environmental legislation, Codes of Practice, and industry standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Available to commence immediately or on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager/Project Manager in all workplace safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, project specifications, and company policies.
• Serve as the designated WSHO and ECO for the project.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain the WSHMS and EMP.
• Conduct daily site safety, health, and environmental inspections and identify hazards with timely corrective actions.
• Ensure risk assessments, SWPs, and environmental control measures are effectively implemented on site.
• Investigate workplace accidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses, environmental incidents, and complaints, and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental controls including dust, noise, waste management, water pollution control, erosion and sediment control, vector control, and housekeeping.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, government authorities (MOM, NEA), and other stakeholders.
• Conduct safety and environmental inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for project personnel.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly safety and environmental reports.
• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Environmental Public Health Act, regulations, and project requirements.
• Promote safety and environmental culture and drive continuous improvement on site.
