Job summary

GAIA CHINESE CULINARY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Beverage/Wine Service Leader for a fine dining Chinese restaurant.

You will pair beverages with food, drive sales through upselling, and lead a service team to deliver high hospitality standards. This role reports to the Restaurant Manager and sits within a walkable area near Bras Basah and City Hall MRTs. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years beverage experience, WSET preferred, and strong knowledge of wines, liquors, and cocktails.

Qualifications

• Preferable Degree or Certificate in Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET).
• 3-5 years of beverage service experience.
• Experience in a preopening team is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of wines, liquors, and cocktails.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and motivational abilities.
• Comfortable with flexible work hours including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Pair wines with food to enhance dining experiences.
• Upsell to increase beverage sales and guest satisfaction.
• Organize wine inventory in cellars and cabinets.
• Train service staff on wine knowledge and presentation techniques.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with management on stock management and promotions.
• Lead and develop the beverage team.
