Job summary

RRecruiter is seeking a seasoned procurement professional for a Singapore-based manufacturing environment. The role focuses on end-to-end purchasing, PO management, and ensuring on-time delivery with close collaboration across Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Finance.

You will leverage SAP MM and MRP to drive efficiency, manage supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes in a fast-paced setting. This position offers the chance to contribute to cost control and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in supply chain, procurement or related field.
• At least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on SAP with SAP MM and MRP.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchasing activities, including raising and managing POs.
• Monitor suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and prevent production delays.
• Use SAP MM to create POs, track orders, monitor goods receipts, and maintain supplier info.
• Coordinate with MRP/production planning systems to align purchasing with production needs.
• Monitor material availability and identify stock shortages or supply risks.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and Logistics to support procurement needs.
• Maintain good supplier relationships and follow up on delivery schedules and lead times.
• Resolve purchasing and delivery discrepancies and support supplier performance improvements.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and transaction records.
• Prepare reports and analyze procurement data to improve efficiency and reduce lead time/costs.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchasing activities, including raising and managing Purchase Orders (POs).

• Monitor and follow up closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and prevent production delays.

• Use SAP MM to create POs, track orders, monitor goods receipts and maintain supplier information.

• Work with MRP and production planning systems to align purchasing activities with production requirements and inventory levels.

• Monitor material availability and proactively identify potential stock shortages or supply risks.

• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and Logistics teams to understand material requirements and provide timely procurement support.

• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and follow up on delivery schedules, lead times and supply issues.

• Resolve purchasing and delivery discrepancies with suppliers and support improvements in supplier performance.

• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate purchasing and transaction records.

• Prepare purchasing reports, analyze procurement data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce lead time and control costs.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP, particularly SAP MM and MRP.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

• Strong follow-up skills with the ability to push suppliers and expedite deliveries when required.

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Proactive, responsible and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
