Job summary

Ministry of Crab is seeking a Restaurant Captain to deliver outstanding service in an upscale dining environment, ensuring guests have a memorable experience.

You will greet guests, manage orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely delivery while upholding high standards. The role requires 2–3 years in fine dining, excellent communication, and Mandarin/Chinese language skills.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar role within fine dining or upscale restaurants.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Chinese to communicate with diverse guests; additional languages are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere
• Take and manage orders accurately, providing detailed menu and specials information to assist guest choices
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
• Oversee table settings and maintain a clean, organized dining area to uphold restaurant standards
• Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally to resolve issues promptly
• Support and guide waitstaff to maintain smooth, high-quality service throughout shifts
• Assist in training new waitstaff by sharing best practices and service standards
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to inform guests effectively
• Uphold Ministry of Crab’s high service standards in all guest interactions
