A supportive educational organization in Singapore is seeking an UPLIFT Support Staff to manage student engagement programmes and provide support. This role involves planning activities, mentoring students, and ensuring their safety during engagement sessions. It requires a diploma in related fields and at least 2 years of experience working with youths. Candidates should be committed to creating positive environments for student development, with responsibilities spanning across planning, monitoring, and collaboration with school staff. Contract period is from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
Profile: UPLIFT Support Staff
Contract Period: 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026
Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 5:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Plan, organize, and manage student engagement programmes (e.g., Reintegration Programme, Catalyst Programme, After-School Engagement).
Run meaningful activities at the after-school engagement centre.
Develop holiday programmes to sustain student engagement during school breaks.
Supervise students during activities while ensuring safety and positive behavior.
Guide students to develop positive peer relationships and social-emotional skills.
Track attendance and follow up on absences with school personnel.
Mentor identified students in areas such as goal‑setting, academic support, and SEL development.
Work with teachers‑in‑charge to reinforce essential skills and values.
Prepare and manage resources needed for all engagement activities.
Encourage students to maintain the after‑school engagement room and keep it conducive for learning.
Prepare termly programme evaluations and collect feedback from students.
Provide updates on student participation and programme effectiveness.
Ensure all activities follow the school’s code of conduct.
Work with school staff to support students requiring additional help, including linking them to community resources.
Assist with school‑wide initiatives supporting student uplift and holistic development.
Conduct annual reviews of student engagement programmes and propose enhancements for future cycles.
Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Youth Work, or related fields.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with youths.
