Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a 1-year contract on Jurong Island. You will lead turnaround planning, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to craft execution plans and schedules. The role involves site verification, risk assessments and close collaboration with contractors across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering with maintenance background in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industries.
• Experience in at least two plant outages of >150,000 labor hours.
• Gas Plant experience (Gasification/SMR/ASU) is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain turnaround worklists with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Prepare turnaround execution plans covering manpower, equipment, tools, logistics and work methodology.
• Conduct site verification and coordinate engineering documents, drawings and procedures for execution.
• Support turnaround scheduling, readiness reviews, risk assessments and procurement activities.
• Coordinate daily turnaround activities and monitor work progress, contractor productivity and schedules.
• Identify execution risks, resolve site technical issues and support recovery plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary works across Mechanical, E&I, Civil, Inspection and Operations teams.
• Support shutdown, startup and commissioning activities.
• Support minor CAPEX, reliability improvement and plant modification projects.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, project schedules, costs and project close-out.
• Support night shift turnaround execution during the April 2027 outage as assigned.
