Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD on Jurong Island is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a 1-year contract, focusing on turnaround activities across Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams. The role involves planning, coordinating outages, and ensuring safety and reliability.

You will prepare execution plans, manage resources, monitor progress, and support night-shift work during the April 2027 outage.

Qualifications

Experience in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years’ maintenance in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical.
Diploma holder with 10+ years’ maintenance exp in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical preferred.
Experience in at least two plant outages >150,000 labor hours.
MS Project experience is required.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain turnaround worklists with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
Prepare turnaround execution plans covering manpower, equipment, tools, logistics and methods.
Conduct site verification and coordinate documents and procedures for execution.
Support turnaround scheduling, readiness reviews, risk assessments and procurement activities.
Coordinate daily turnaround activities and monitor work progress, contractor productivity and schedules.
Identify execution risks, resolve site technical issues and support recovery plans.
Coordinate multidisciplinary works across Mechanical, E&I, Civil, Inspection and Operations teams.
Support shutdown, startup and commissioning activities.
Support minor CAPEX, reliability improvement and plant modification projects.
Coordinate contractors, vendors, project schedules, costs and project close-out.
Support night shift turnaround execution during the April 2027 outage as assigned.
