Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Turnaround Engineer to lead planning and execution support for major outages at a gas/oil plant. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to develop worklists, execution packages and schedules, ensuring readiness of permits, tools and resources.

The role requires field verification, robust coordination of multidisciplinary teams and involvement in shutdown activities, highlighting safety and schedule adherence during the April 2027

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical engineering with maintenance background in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical sectors.
• Experience across two plant outages of 150,000+ labor hours is preferred.
• Knowledge of turnaround planning, scheduling, risk assessment and contractor coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and field execution support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain turnaround worklists with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Prepare execution packages including scope, manpower, equipment, tools, cranes and logistics.
• Verify scope in the field and confirm access and methodology.
• Coordinate reviews to ensure drawings, permits and docs are ready before execution.
• Support integrated turnaround schedules and critical path analysis.
• Coordinate pre-turnaround activities to prep work fronts for execution.
• Oversee daily turnaround activities to maintain safety, pace and schedule.
• Monitor contractor progress, productivity and quality; flag risks and propose recoveries.
• Assist in project engineering tasks and change management activities.
• Support post-shutdown activities, commissioning, and turnover from maintenance works.
