Job summary

Fonda Global Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a BCA-trained trainer to lead and support construction trainees. The role involves conducting practical sessions, preparing materials, and ensuring adherence to the BCA syllabus and assessment criteria.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years in building construction, hold ITE Nitec or higher, and be able to work independently, take on more responsibilities, and commit to after-hours trainings when required.

Qualifications

• Preferably with prior training or supervisory experience.
• At least 2 years working experience in building constructions.
• ITE Nitec or Trade Diploma from BCA Academy or higher.
• Able to work independently and upgrade oneself to meet requirements.
• Willing to take on more responsibilities and work beyond hours.

Responsibilities

• Prior to qualification as a BCA approved Trainer, undergo trade trainings as scheduled.
• Assist training operations: prepare materials, maintain tools/equipment, prep test docs, understudy other trainers.
• Upon qualification, conduct trainings per BCA syllabus and assessment criteria.
• Provide dedicated guidance to trainees during practical trainings.
• Conduct end-of-course assessments and advise employers if further training is needed.
• Suggest improvements to training processes and address irregularities.
• Adhere to training schedules set by the Lead Trainer and collaborate with the team.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Prior to qualification as a BCA approved Trainer, undergo trade trainings (both theoretical and practical) in accordance to scheduled training time slots
• Assist in training operations when not performing any trade trainings, such as preparation of training materials, maintenance of tools & equipment, preparation of documents for test candidates taking test on the following day, understudy other approved trainers on the teaching process and methodology, etc.
• Upon qualification as BCA approved trainer, conduct trainings to trainees in accordance to BCA approved syllabus and assessment criteria
• Provide dedicated and close guidance to trainees particularly during practical trainings
• Provide end of course assessment on the performance of individual trainees and give recommendations to employers if the trainees required additional trainings
• Give recommendations to improve the existing training process and regularise any existing irregularities
• Adhere to training schedules allocated by the Lead Trainer and work as a team with other BCA approved trainers and training assistants

Job Requirement

• Preferably with prior training experience or in supervisory positions
• Physically and mentally fit
• Possess at least 2 years working experience in building constructions
• Possess minimum ITE Nitec, Trade Diploma issued by BCA Academy or higher
• Possess basic computer knowledge
• Able to work independently, work with initiative, and self-motivated to upgrade oneself to meet job requirements.
• Willing to take up more responsibilities for higher self-achievements
• Willing to work beyond official working hours if required
