Job summary

SOQ INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY PTE. LTD. is seeking trainers to prepare and deliver sessions across classroom, practical and online formats, aligning with approved curricula and learning outcomes.

You will tailor delivery by reviewing learners' profiles, provide materials and resources, and assess progress per established criteria while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
• MUST have ACTA or ACLP qualification.
• Experience in adult education or training is preferred.
• Strong understanding of competency-based training and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver training sessions in accordance with curriculum, lesson plans and learning outcomes.
• Review students' profiles, learning needs and prior knowledge to tailor delivery and maximise learning.
• Prepare teaching materials, classroom resources, practical equipment and learning activities.
• Deliver engaging classroom, practical and online training using appropriate methodologies.
• Assess learners' knowledge, skills and competencies per assessment plans and marking criteria.
• Ensure assessments are fair, consistent and compliant with policies and awarding bodies.
• Provide feedback on assessments within timelines.
• Maintain accurate attendance, records and training documentation.
• Monitor progress and provide academic guidance to help learners meet competencies.
• Identify learners requiring support and provide coaching or interventions.
• Maintain a safe, professional and inclusive learning environment.
• Keep classrooms and equipment well-maintained and report issues promptly.
• Participate in CPD, moderation and trainer meetings.

Job Description & Requirements

• Prepare and deliver training sessions inaccordance with the approved curriculum, lesson plans, and learning outcomes.
• Review students' profiles, learning needs, andprior knowledge to tailor lesson delivery and maximise learning effectiveness.
• Prepare teaching materials, classroom resources,practical equipment, and learning activities prior to each session.
• Deliver engaging classroom, practical, andonline training using appropriate teaching methodologies.
• Assess learners' knowledge, skills, andcompetencies in accordance with the approved assessment plans and markingcriteria.
• Ensure all assessments are conducted fairly,consistently, and in compliance with organisational and awarding bodyrequirements.
• Mark and provide constructive feedback onassessments within the stipulated timelines.
• Maintain accurate student attendance, assessmentrecords, and training documentation.
• Monitor student progress and provide academicguidance and support to help learners achieve the required competencystandards.
• Identify students requiring additionalassistance and provide appropriate coaching or recommend intervention wherenecessary.
• Ensure a safe, professional, and inclusivelearning environment at all times.
• Maintain classrooms, training equipment, andlearning resources in good condition and report any issues promptly.
• Participate in assessment standardisation,moderation, trainer meetings, and continuous professional development (CPD)activities.
• Comply with organisational policies, EduTrustrequirements, SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) regulations, and awarding bodystandards.

Minimum Qualification

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in the relevant discipline. A recognised qualification in Adult Education, Training and Assessment, or Teaching will be an advantage.
• MUST have ACTA or ACLP Qualification
• Relevant industry experience in the subject area being taught, preferably at least 2 years.
• Possess or be eligible to obtain the required trainer and assessor certifications as stipulated by the relevant awarding body or regulatory authority (e.g. SkillsFuture Singapore, WSQ, VTCT/ITEC, where applicable).
• Good understanding of competency-based training, assessment principles, and learner-centred teaching methodologies.
• Experience in conducting classroom, practical, and/or online training is preferred.
• Ability to prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning activities based on learners' profiles and learning needs.
• Strong knowledge of assessment processes and the ability to conduct assessments in accordance with approved marking criteria and assessment standards.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organisational, classroom management, and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online learning platforms.
• Committed to continuous professional development and maintaining current industry knowledge.
