Roles and Responsibilities
Training Administration and Operations
- Assist in the administration of training, including enrolment, organising training sessions, attendance taking, compiling evaluation feedback and updating training results and records, processing funding and certificates, and proper documentation and filing.
- Ensure training operations are carried out smoothly and highlight exceptions.
- Liaise with relevant agencies and institutions on their training requirements, including submission of training records, results, certificates and funding applications.
- Process and ensure proper billing of courses.
- Monitor and track collection of various forms of receivables, including bills and funding.
- Process and update records of registration, enrolment, attendance, results and any other submissions through the relevant training system and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Training Partner’s Gateway System.
- Work with SSG and relevant institutions on course enrolment, registration and submission of necessary documentation for the management of certified courses and training funding.
- Compile and prepare reports to update on training under purview, including training activity level, costing, evaluation and exceptions.
- Maintain and manage course administration information and documentation for retrieval, audit, reporting and analysis.
- Prepare logistical arrangements, including setting up classrooms, uploading course materials, and preparing attendance forms.
Trainer and Assessor
- Assist in conducting training and assessment (including theory, practical and on-the-job components) for in-house, certified and other operations training courses.
- Assist in implementing new training initiatives, including new technologies and training aids and deploying enhancements to training design, methodologies, and process improvements.
- Perform quality checks and ensure timely submission of relevant training documents and other requirements.
Support New Training Initiatives
- Assist and provide support in reviewing, designing, developing, and implementing new and existing training programs and initiatives to meet business needs.
- Review and keep abreast of developments, including work procedures and safe practices that can impact training, and update relevant materials to ensure they are current, relevant, and effective.
- Assist and provide support in setting exam questions in accordance with test plans and skill standards.
- Perform any other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements / Skills
- Possess at least a Diploma (preferably in operations, sea transport or related discipline).
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience with strong operations knowledge.
- Have a strong passion for training.
- Possess good planning and organising skills.
- Good in communications, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Resourceful and able to work independently or in teams.
- Self‑motivated individual with a strong drive for results.
- Enjoy working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Open to exploring and learning new software/technologies to meet work requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
