Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Marketing, or related.
• 5-7 years in commercial/business development in maritime or marine services.
• Proven track record in key account management, business development, and vessel chartering.
• Strong understanding of Singapore's maritime and port operations.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, able to work independently under pressure.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience engaging with senior management and decision-makers.
• Strong commercial acumen to identify opportunities and grow business.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities to achieve targets.
• Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to support strategies and growth.
• Proactively generate new leads through BD activities, networking, and client outreach.
• Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with key clients by providing responsive and value-added support.
• Lead commercial negotiations and prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts within approved guidelines.
• Work closely with operations to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to support business planning and expansion initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of competitor activities, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities within the maritime industry.
