Job summary

Penanshin Shipping Pte Ltd is seeking a Team Lead to drive smooth import operations, coordinating with the Import Manager, overseas partners and internal teams. You will own shipment coordination, customs clearance and drive process improvements.

In this role you will oversee daily import activities, liaise with overseas branches, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards while providing operational support to the Sales team.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of import operations or freight forwarding experience, with team lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of import documentation and customs procedures.
• Excellent coordination, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities with stakeholders.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the Import Manager in overseeing daily import operations and shipment execution.
• Coordinate import arrangements and provide operational support to the Sales team.
• Liaise with overseas branches and appointed agents on shipment-related matters.
• Act as a key contact for customs-related matters, including Inter-Gateway permits.
• Ensure import procedures comply with company policies and ISO 9001 standards.
• Work with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Prepare operational and performance reports for management review.
• Perform other import-related duties as required.
