Job summary

ES Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking a System Engineer (Unix/Linux) for Changi Airport to support essential Unix/Linux systems, perform maintenance, upgrades and incident resolution. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure stability and security of critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Unix/Linux experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a diploma in a related field, with 2–3 years of relevant experience and willingness for 24×7

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in system/application support is ideal.
• Hands-on experience supporting Unix/Linux environments.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• 24×7 standby support capability.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine system maintenance and ensure scheduled activities are completed on time.
• Support Unix/Linux operating systems and applications, including system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Perform OS and application upgrades, patching and maintenance.
• Attend to system/application service requests and change requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, application and technical incidents.
• Work with external vendors/support teams to resolve complex technical issues when required.
• Investigate incidents and identify root causes, preventive actions and corrective measures.
• Prepare timely and professional incident, problem and technical reports for stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing system documentation and supporting ISO audit activities.
• Participate in new project implementation, including requirement gathering, system setup and installation, configuration, testing, commissioning and post-implementation support.

System Engineer (Unix/Linux) – Changi Airport

Location: Changi Airport
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours + 24×7 Support Standby
Salary: Up to S$5,000 Basic + 0.5 Month Completion Bonus + Up to 0.5 Month Performance Bonus
Employment Type: 1 Year Project assignment Renewable

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer to support the implementation, maintenance and operational stability of critical systems at Changi Airport.
