Job summary

EVOLUTION RECRUITMENT SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned System Analyst/Business Analyst for banking technology projects in Singapore. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational needs, translate requirements into functional specs, and guide solutions through the SDLC.

You will analyse processes for automation, create use cases and documentation, support SIT/UAT, and assist with training and post-implementation support in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Computing or related field.
• Proven ability to gather, analyse, and document complex business and system requirements.
• Proficiency in developing process maps, flowcharts, use cases, user stories and other analytical docs.
• Familiarity with banking products, regulatory requirements and operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and project scope.
• Analyse current processes to identify opportunities for automation and optimisation.
• Translate complex requirements into clear functional and non-functional specs, use cases and user stories.
• Work with development teams, solution architects and QA to ensure solutions meet objectives and standards.
• Facilitate workshops and presentations to secure stakeholder alignment and approval.
• Support SIT and UAT, and assist in defect analysis and remediation.
• Prepare training materials and provide post-implementation support.
• Participate in project planning, risk assessment and change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, identify business challenges, and define system requirements for new projects and system enhancements.
• Analyse existing systems and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimisation.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications, use cases, user stories, process flows, and other relevant documentation.
• Work closely with development teams, solution architects, and quality assurance teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure solutions meet business objectives and technical standards.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather requirements, communicate findings, and obtain stakeholder alignment and approval.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect analysis to ensure the quality and integrity of delivered solutions.
• Assist in preparing training materials and provide post-implementation support to end users.
• Participate in project planning, risk assessment, change management, and coordination activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system analysis and banking technology.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven ability to gather, analyse, and document complex business and system requirements.
• Proficiency in developing process maps, flowcharts, use cases, user stories, and other analytical documentation.
• Familiarity with banking products, particularly credit origination or related domains, as well as banking operations and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of system integration principles, database concepts, SQL, and Unix operating systems.
• Basic working experience with job schedulers, PuTTY, database access tools, and online and batch integration protocols.
• Familiarity with project management and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Good time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
