Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Student Care Officer to support youth engagement, befriending, mentoring and school-based activities at the Bedok location. You will monitor progress, plan activities and liaise with parents and teachers to ensure well-being outcomes.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience working with youths in school or community settings, and strong communication, empathy and resilience to handle sensitive cases with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience engaging or supporting youths in school or community settings.
• Preferred qualifications or certifications in youth work or related fields.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with youths and adults.
• Ability to mentor students with emotional, social or well-being needs.
• Demonstrates emotional resilience and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Engage, befriend and mentor students with emotional, social or well-being issues.
• Plan and supervise engagement activities at the engagement centre.
• Co-plan after school engagement activities and run sessions.
• Liaise with parents or guardians on child’s progress and well-being.
• Identify suitable community partners and enroll students in programmes.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress and incidents.
• Follow safeguarding and emergency protocols and escalate concerns.
• Perform other student-related duties as assigned by management.
