Senior Maritime Tech Sales Manager

Job summary

Direct Search Global in Singapore is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth for maritime technology solutions. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with shipowners and ship managers, and manage the sales process from initial engagement to contract closure.

You will develop sales strategies for maritime connectivity, IT, cybersecurity and digital solutions, coordinate with technical teams, prepare proposals and tenders, and travel regionally to close deals.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in maritime technology sales, business development or related commercial roles.
• Experience selling marine IT, connectivity, cybersecurity, software or digital solutions.
• Established relationships with shipowners and ship managers would be advantageous.
• Proven ability to develop new accounts and manage complex sales negotiations.
• Strong commercial awareness, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with technical and operational teams.
• Willing to travel regionally as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the maritime sector.
• Build relationships with shipowners, ship managers and key decision-makers.
• Develop sales strategies for maritime connectivity, IT, cybersecurity and digital solutions.
• Understand customer requirements and work with technical teams to propose suitable solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations and tender submissions.
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Manage the sales pipeline, maintain CRM records and provide accurate forecasts.
• Develop existing accounts through renewals, cross-selling and additional services.
• Coordinate with project and service teams to ensure a smooth customer handover.
• Monitor market developments and represent the business at industry events.
