Job summary

CAREERNEXUS PTE. LTD. is seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to drive growth in the financial services sector.

You will build strong relationships with clients, partners, and institutions to generate new business opportunities and strengthen our market presence. You will identify opportunities, maintain a healthy pipeline, present proposals, stay current on financial products and regulations, and report sales activity.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Experience in business development, sales, or client management within financial services is advantageous.
• Certifications (e.g., CMFAS modules) preferred or a willingness to obtain them.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Confident, personable communicator with strong relationship-building skills across clients and stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and resourceful, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical, planning, and follow-through abilities.
• Sound understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities with clients and institutions in the financial services space.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to sustain a steady pipeline.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking sessions to generate leads.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
• Stay updated on financial products, market trends, and regulations to advise clients effectively.
• Track leads and opportunities via CRM, and report on sales performance and forecasts.
• Nurture existing client relationships to drive repeat and referral business.
