Job summary

SMRT Corporation seeks a seasoned commercial leader to drive Business Development & Opportunity Management in AI, Fibre Optics & technology, and to lead Tender & Bid Management from qualification to submission.

The role collaborates with MD and stakeholders to secure profitable opportunities, perform financial analyses, manage procurement and contract risks, and oversee project handover and performance. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue growth opportunities, partnerships and new AI/tech markets.
• Support MD in crafting business strategies and revenue goals.
• Engage with customers and partners to spot opportunities and trends.
• Lead end-to-end tender process from qualification to bid submission.
• Review tender requirements and craft competitive bid strategies.
• Collaborate to develop technical solutions, execution plans and costs.
• Evaluate quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Perform financial analysis, costing and business case evaluations.
• Assess commercial risks and viability before bids.
• Prepare bid approval papers for pricing and terms.
• Monitor budgets, revenues and margins.
• Lead risk assessments for tenders and projects.
• Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Legal for terms clearance.
• Ensure compliance with governance and procurement policies.
• Lead contract negotiations with customers and partners.
• Manage procurement after award: sourcing and subcontracting.
• Ensure procurement meets quality, cost and schedule.
• Administer contractual documents and purchase orders.
• Oversee handover from bid to delivery teams.
• Monitor project performance and compliance.
• Resolve commercial, contractual and procurement issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of bid, procurement and contract processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet objectives.
• Mentor team members in tendering and procurement activities.
• Demonstrate leadership and stakeholder engagement.
