Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12 years in business development, sales or commercial management in industrial automation.
• At least 5 years in senior-management, with planning, budgeting and leadership duties.
• Experience with Japan-based HQ or Japanese-speaking regional stakeholders.
• Business Japanese at JLPT N1 level and English proficiency required.
• Strong B2B sales, e-commerce, inventory and customer-support operations understanding.
• Growth mindset with ability to identify new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Business Development Division and oversee its performance.
• Develop, implement and review corporate objectives and strategies for industrial automation products.
• Identify new markets, segments and strategic partnerships for sustainable growth.
• Develop and execute sales strategies for the company’s e-commerce model.
• Drive sales revenue through planning, inventory management and technical support coordination.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs and competitors to inform decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement systems for productivity.
• Lead and manage the division to meet sales targets and deadlines.
• Prepare budgets, business plans and management reports; report to Japan HQ.
• Communicate with Japan headquarters in Japanese and English; coordinate meetings.
