Job summary

A leading aquarium retail company in Singapore is seeking a Retail Supervisor to oversee shop operations and ensure excellent customer service. The candidate should have prior experience in retail supervision or a senior retail role, and knowledge of aquarium care is preferred. The role includes supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. This position requires willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the aquarium retail shop.
• Supervise and guide retail staff to maintain service standards.
• Manage inventory and conduct stock checks.
• Maintain proper shop presentation and upkeep of livestock tanks.
• Monitor livestock wellbeing and coordinate care schedules.
• Manage inventory and conduct stock checks.
• Assist customers with aquarium setup advice.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.

Retail Supervisor

• Salary: Basic $3000 - $4500
• Working Days: 6 Days (5 days off per month)
• Working Hours: 10am – 8pm
• Working Location: Havelock
• Prior experience in retail supervision or a senior retail role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of aquarium care, livestock handling, or aquascaping
• Willing to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays if required.
• Will required to travel to other outlets when required

Job Scope

• Oversee daily operations of the aquarium retail shop to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
• Supervise and guide retail staff, ensuring product knowledge, service standards, and performance are maintained.
• Handle opening and closing duties, cash management, POS operations, and daily sales reporting.
• Maintain proper shop presentation, cleanliness, and upkeep of livestock tanks, aquatic plants, and aquarium displays.
• Monitor livestock wellbeing, water quality, and stock conditions, coordinating care schedules where required.
• Manage inventory, conduct stock checks, and coordinate replenishment of livestock, plants, and products.
• Assist customers with aquarium setup advice, product recommendations, and troubleshooting.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Support sales promotions and overall store performance.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
