Job summary

ST Engineering’s Aerospace Services segment seeks an experienced spray painter to perform precision painting and coating on aircraft surfaces at our Singapore facilities. You will prepare surfaces, inspect finishes, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, high-quality results.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute precise spray painting and coating applications on various types of aircraft surfaces, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces prior to painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming, to guarantee optimal finish durability and adherence.
  • Inspect aircraft surfaces for defects or imperfections and carry out corrective actions to meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to coordinate painting schedules and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Supervise and mentor junior spray painters, providing guidance on techniques, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain equipment and spray painting facilities in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Document work progress, paint usage, and maintenance reports accurately and timely.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a spray painter in the aerospace sector or a similar technical environment, with demonstrable expertise in aircraft exterior painting.
  • Excellent understanding of aircraft materials and coatings, including knowledge of paint curing processes and environmental considerations.
  • Strong commitment to safety standards and practices within aviation maintenance operations.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications related to paint work.
  • Leadership qualities with experience in supervising and training teams.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform tasks in various aircraft environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.
