Job summary

You will prepare surfaces, inspect for defects, coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams, supervise junior painters and ensure proper documentation of paint usage and maintenance reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a spray painter in the aerospace sector or similar technical environment.
• Excellent understanding of aircraft materials and coatings, including paint curing processes and environmental considerations.
• Strong commitment to safety standards and practices within aviation maintenance operations.
• Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications related to paint work.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise spray painting and coating applications on aircraft surfaces, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
• Prepare surfaces prior to painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
• Inspect aircraft surfaces for defects and carry out corrective actions to meet standards.
• Coordinate painting schedules with maintenance, engineering and quality teams.
• Supervise and mentor junior spray painters, providing guidance on techniques, safety protocols and quality requirements.
• Maintain equipment and facilities in compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Document work progress, paint usage and maintenance reports accurately and timely.
