Bridging Training International is hiring a compassionate Special Needs Teacher to support students aged 6 to 16 with varied learning needs. You will design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with either the Singapore MOE local syllabus or the IB (PYP/MYP/DP) framework, depending on placement.

The role requires collaboration with parents and school staff, development of differentiated materials, and ongoing progress documentation to support students' confidence and academic growth.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Special Education or related field.
• Experience teaching or supporting children aged 6–16 with diverse needs.
• Familiarity with MOE local syllabus and/or IB curriculum frameworks.
• Strong communication skills in English; Mandarin an advantage for EAL students.

Responsibilities

About Us

Bridging Training International is a training provider supporting Chinese- and Japanese-speaking families with international school placement, scholarship preparation, and academic support across the MOE, IBDP, IGCSE, and A-Level curricula. We are expanding our team to better support students with diverse learning needs and are looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teacher.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Needs Teacher to support students aged 6 to 16 with a range of learning needs, including but not limited to ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder, and other learning differences. The successful candidate will design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with either the Singapore local (MOE) syllabus or the IB (International Baccalaureate) syllabus, depending on the student's school placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one lessons tailored to each student's individual learning profile
• Adapt lesson content and pacing to align with the student's home syllabus — MOE local curriculum or IB (PYP/MYP/DP)
• Develop differentiated teaching materials and use appropriate assistive strategies and tools
• Monitor and document student progress; provide regular, clear feedback to parents and our academic team
• Work collaboratively with parents, school teachers, and (where applicable) therapists/specialists to support each student's holistic development
• Build a supportive, structured, and encouraging learning environment that builds student confidence
• Support students with academic subjects as well as executive functioning, social, and study skills as needed

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field
• Prior experience teaching or supporting children with special educational needs (ages 6–16)
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE syllabus and/or the IB curriculum framework
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching approach
• Strong communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage (for EAL students)
• Experience with IEPs, behavioural strategies, or assistive learning tools preferred
• Relevant certification (e.g. SPED, ABA training, or equivalent) is a plus but not mandatory for the right candidate
