Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure software reliability, robust test automation, and continuous quality improvement across the SDLC. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams in an Agile/DevOps setting to implement effective testing strategies.

The role requires hands-on automation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead test efforts across web, mobile, and API-based applications, with emphasis on risk-based testing

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing test cases and test plans.
• Hands-on testing across web, mobile, and API-based apps.
• Proficient in automation frameworks and scripting languages.
• Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive UI testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and BAs to define clear acceptance criteria.
• Improve automated test coverage with engineers to prevent production defects.
• Analyse complex software systems and develop risk-based testing strategies.
• Develop, maintain and enhance test automation frameworks.
• Design and run suites covering functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and performance tests.
• Apply risk-based approach to automation prioritising critical functions.
• Conduct time-boxed exploratory testing to find edge cases.
• Maintain stable regression suites integrated with nightly QA builds.
• Improve smoke tests in CI/CD for early defect detection.
• Lead system integration testing with system owners for cross-system validation.
• Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Manage defect lifecycle, artefacts, and test reports.
• Drive continuous improvement of Agile testing practices and tooling.
• Support performance or security testing as secondary area.
