Job summary

PJ Marine Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated professional to ensure the seamless execution of shipping contracts negotiated by Ship Brokers, while monitoring voyage progress and providing timely updates to charterers and ship owners.

You will assist with resolving operational issues and ensuring the timely issuance of commission invoices, while maintaining accurate voyage records and documentation, including voyage orders, bills of lading and indemnity letters.

Responsibilities

• Monitor voyage progress and provide timely updates to ship owners, charterers and agents.
• Identify potential operational issues and work with clients to implement solutions and mitigations.
• Maintain accurate voyage records and documentation (voyage orders, bills of lading, indemnity letters).
• Escalate disputes and operational issues to Ship Brokers for resolution.
• Coordinate and follow up on payments and final settlements after voyages.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of commission invoices.
• Participate in workflow improvements to enhance efficiency.

Responsible for the seamless execution of shipping contracts negotiated and fixed by Ship Brokers. The role involves monitoring voyage progress, providing timely updates to charterers and ship owners, assisting with the resolution of operational issues and disputes, and ensuring the timely issuance of commission invoices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate post-fixture activities with clients’ chartering and operations teams to ensure the accurate and timely execution of voyage orders, including vessel and cargo nominations and voyage instructions.
• Monitor voyage progress and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders, including ship owners, charterers and agents, to ensure the smooth execution of shipping contracts.
• Proactively identify potential operational issues and work closely with clients and relevant stakeholders on appropriate solutions and mitigation measures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date voyage records and documentation, including voyage orders, bills of lading and letters of indemnity, in accordance with client requirements and industry practices.
• Escalate disputes, operational issues and other relevant matters to Ship Brokers in a timely manner for follow-up and resolution.
• Coordinate and follow up on payments from clients and final settlements upon completion of voyages.
• Assist with the timely preparation and issuance of commission invoices.
• Participate in workflow improvement and optimisation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and process excellence.
• Travel and attend client meetings and social events where required to support business relationships.
• Perform additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
