Job summary

Smartdeer Services Centre is seeking a proactive Store Supervisor/Assistant Manager to lead the store operations team in delivering high-quality coffee and warm, genuine service in Singapore. You will assist with scheduling, staff deployment, and maintaining brand standards, while supporting training and development of baristas.

The role requires experience as a shift supervisor or assistant manager in F&B/coffee, familiarity with Singapore's regulations, and strong customer service orientation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification with 2+ years of store management or shift supervision experience.
• Experience in Singapore's F&B/coffee industry and familiarity with local regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store operations team with responsibility and professionalism, ensuring focus on quality coffee and customer service.
• Assist the store manager with weekly and monthly scheduling, ensuring appropriate staffing levels during peak hours and maintaining operational standards.
• Support achievement of key operational targets including sales growth, new product promotion, coffee quality and consistency, store cleanliness, equipment maintenance, product and membership recommendations, cashier operations and customer service.
• Complete shift management tasks assigned by the store manager and support key operational goals including staff deployment, cost control, inventory management, food safety and incident handling.
• Assist the store manager and training team in training new baristas and apprentices, developing team members' coffee skills, knowledge and operational capabilities with measurable growth targets.
• Monitor and maintain coffee and beverage quality, efficiency and consistency to brand standards, ensuring food safety compliance.
• Assume store management responsibilities during the store manager's absence or off-duty periods

About you

• Experience working as a shift supervisor or assistant manager in Singapore's food and beverage or coffee industry, with familiarity of Singapore's employment, tax and food safety regulations
• Bilingual communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and basic English to serve Singapore's diverse customer base
• Experience in new store openings or store launch preparations preferred
• Basic store management experience and capabilities in staff deployment, scheduling, inventory management, cost control and employee training
• Excellent customer service awareness, stress management ability, enthusiasm, conscientiousness and proactive service mindset
• Diploma or higher qualification with 2+ years of experience as a store manager or shift supervisor in coffee, food and beverage, retail or chain service industries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software for store reporting and documentation
