Job summary

Sentosa Kopi Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled Barista to join our team in the Sentosa Central Region. You will craft high-quality espresso drinks and beverages while delivering friendly service to guests in a fast-paced environment.

As part of our hospitality team, you will operate and clean espresso equipment, manage stock, and maintain rigorous hygiene standards. Flexibility for varied shifts and holidays is essential, with certification or training preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Barista or in similar hospitality role.
• Knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and espresso machines.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and high presentation standards.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Relevant barista certification or training (preferred).
• Experience in busy hospitality or tourism venues (preferred).

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team in the Sentosa Central Region. As a Barista, you will be the heart of our beverage service, responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and other beverages whilst delivering exceptional customer service. This role is pivotal in creating memorable experiences for our guests and maintaining the standards that define our hospitality offering. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your passion for coffee and customer engagement directly contributes to the success of our establishment.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and serving a variety of espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, and other hot and cold beverages to exacting standards

• Operating and maintaining espresso machines and other coffee equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and cleanliness

• Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations based on guest preferences

• Maintaining a clean and organised workstation, including proper sanitisation of all equipment and surfaces

• Managing stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups and other beverage ingredients, reporting shortages as required

• Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner, building rapport and encouraging repeat visits

• Adhering to food safety and health and safety regulations at all times

• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues during peak service periods

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar coffee preparation role within a hospitality setting

• Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and espresso machine operation

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and quality

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Good communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude towards teamwork

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

• Relevant barista certification or training qualifications (preferred)

• Experience in a busy hospitality or tourism venue (preferred)
