Job summary

M STAND PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a part-time trainee barista to deliver warm, genuine service and learn coffee making.

You will assist with daily store operations, take orders, promote products, and work 10–16 hours per week during school terms, up to 28 hours per week during holidays. Mandarin is preferred, English basic, and hourly pay ranges from S$13 to S$15.

Key Responsibilities

1. Uphold M Stand's high quality standards at all times and deliver great service to every customer. Impress guests with sincere, warm and genuine service.
2. Follow operational standards strictly to complete shift tasks and business targets. Scope includes but is not limited to daily store operations, coffee and beverage preparation, customer enquiries, product and membership promotion, cashiering and order fulfilment with efficiency.
3. Maintain personal hygiene and neat grooming. Keep all store areas (front of house, back of house, bar counter, kitchen etc.) clean and tidy. Ensure indoor and outdoor tables are cleared and arranged promptly, utensils are clean and intact, and supplies are fully stocked to support smooth store operations.
4. Greet customers proactively, warmly, politely and patiently, and provide high-quality customer service.
5. Trainee baristas interested in building a career in the coffee industry may join company training programmes to learn coffee knowledge and beverage preparation skills.
6. Assist with other daily store operational tasks as assigned.
7. Remuneration: This is a part-time role. The above monthly salary is an estimation,Actual pay is calculated by hourly rate S$13-15/hour, based on actual working hours.
8. Working hours: 10-16 hours per week during school term; up to 28 hours per week during school holidays.
9. Note: For Student's Pass holders, weekly working hours are capped at 16 hours during school term per MOM regulation.

Job Requirements

1. Basic conversational English. Able to take orders, introduce products, respond to general customer enquiries and handle simple customer complaints, and understand daily conversations from local customers.
2. Fluent Mandarin is preferred for communication with Chinese customers and team members. Basic Malay is a plus.
3. Love coffee and the hospitality industry; willing and able to learn to operate coffee machines and perform latte art.
