Job summary

Fuji Packaging Machines Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a Service Technician to join our field engineering team in Singapore. The role is full-time and based in the Boon Lay West Region, delivering preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging machinery to clients across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience as Service Technician or Field Engineer in packaging machinery or similar industrial equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in packaging machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging machinery at client sites.

About the role

Fuji Packaging Machines Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a Service Technician to join our field engineering team. This is a full-time position based in the Boon Lay West Region, where you will provide essential technical support and maintenance services to our valued clients. As a Service Technician, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our packaging machinery operates at peak performance, delivering exceptional service to customers across the region. This role is crucial to maintaining client satisfaction and supporting the continued success of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging machinery at client sites
• Diagnose technical faults and troubleshoot equipment issues in a timely manner
• Install, commission and test packaging machines according to specifications and safety standards
• Provide on-site technical support and guidance to clients on equipment operation and maintenance
• Document all service activities, including maintenance records, fault reports and spare parts usage
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations whilst working at customer premises
• Coordinate with the engineering team to elevate complex technical issues when necessary
• Maintain service equipment and tools in good working condition
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or Field Engineer in the packaging machinery or similar industrial equipment sector
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in packaging machinery
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
• Sound understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems independently and efficiently
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical clients
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the service region
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively across multiple service calls
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred)
