Job summary

REERACOEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Assistant Field Service Engineer (Mechatronic) to install, commission and maintain semiconductor and industrial equipment at customer sites in the East Singapore region.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting, reading technical drawings, and willingness to undertake 3–6 months overseas training in Asia. The ideal candidate has an ITE/ Diploma or degree in Mechatronic Engineering, 2+ years of field service experience,

Qualifications

• ITE/Diploma or Degree in Mechatronic Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical servicing and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Able to read technical drawings and use basic hand tools and test equipment.
• Experience with installation, preventive maintenance, overhaul or commissioning of equipment.
• Willingness to undertake 3–6 months overseas training (Japan, China, Taiwan or Thailand).

Responsibilities

Assistant Field Support Engineer/Engineer/Senior Engineer (Mechatronic) (37863)

Location: East

【Responsibilities】

• Carry out equipment installation, start-up, commissioning, and preventive maintenance at customer sites.
• Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of semiconductor and industrial equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment faults using technical drawings, operating data and test instruments.
• Disassemble, inspect, overhaul, repair, reassemble and test dry and wet vacuum pumps according to approved procedures.
• Inspect mechanical components, electrical connections, sensors and other equipment parts to identify faults.
• Replace or adjust components and verify equipment performance after servicing.
• Prepare tools, spare parts and equipment required for service assignments.
• Record work performed, measurements, parts used, equipment conditions, and outstanding issues accurately in service reports.
• Coordinate service activities with customers and internal technical teams.
• Escalate faults or delays beyond assigned technical competence with clear information and troubleshooting findings.
• Support and guide Assistant Engineers where applicable.
• Follow company and customer safety, quality, and cleanroom requirements.
• Participate in overseas product and technical training for 3-6 months in Japan, China, Taiwan or Thailand, as assigned.

【Requirements & Preferences】

• ITE/Diploma or Degree in Mechatronic Engineering
• Inexperienced candidates with a background in Mechatronic Engineering who possess a strong interest in being a Field Service Assistant Engineer and are willing to do 3-6 months of overseas training are encouraged to apply
• More than 2 years of field service engineer experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of semiconductor equipment, vacuum pumps, industrial machinery, or related equipment
• Hands-on experience in mechanical servicing and basic electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and use basic hand tools and test equipment.
• Experience with equipment installation, preventive maintenance, overhaul, repair, or commissioning
• Willingness to work at customer sites and participate in 3-6 months of overseas product and technical training in Japan, China, Taiwan, or Thailand, depending on business requirements.

(Advantageous)

• Vacuum pump servicing experience is highly advantageous.
• More experienced candidates who can handle the following may be considered for Senior Engineer based on technical capability and leadership experience:

1. Independently handle standard and complex equipment service assignments.
2. Lead and coordinate service activities at customer sites.
3. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
4. Guide Assistant Engineers and Engineers during servicing and maintenance work.
5. Ensure service work, reporting, and customer follow‑up are completed properly
