Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking a Service Engineer specialized in Marine and Tank Gauging. You will supervise on-site troubleshooting, perform commissioning, and prepare reports on activities carried out. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in Tank Level Gauging, be willing to work long hours, and travel on short notice. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality technical support to clients in various settings, including overseas assignments.

Responsibilities

About the job Service Engineer (Marine/ Tank Gauging)

Responsibilities

  • On-site supervision and performing troubleshooting, warranty issue, testing & commissioning, servicing jobs on both mechanical and electrical on the companys products. Site can be in overseas, at anchorage, Off-Port Limits or shipyard, on-board vessel on voyage repair or land-based industries.
  • Based on the service process, plan and perform service assignments on company installations worldwide.
  • Prepare service and/or calibration report of the work activities carried out and spare parts used.
  • Able to advise and recommend to the Superintendent and/or vessel crew on problem and operation of the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer specification.
  • Provide technical support and deliver high quality service to satisfy the companys customers.
  • Carry out risk assessment for each service and observe safe work practice. At all times comply with regulations at work site (e.g. on-board vessels and at shipyards).
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management from time to time.
  • Providing equipment training to customers and new service technicians if needed.
  • Claims and Deviation handling.

Requirements

  • Preferably with 1 3 years of experience on Tank Level Gauging.
  • To be able to withstand long working hours/weekends and travel on short notice including overseas trip.
