Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning vegetables, meats, and seafood.
• Prepare basic components like pastes and sauces as directed by the Head Chef.
• Ensure ingredients are prepared according to recipes and standards to maintain consistency and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, stations, and storage.
• Perform dishwashing duties and ensure utensils and equipment are cleaned and sanitized.
• Follow FIFO method to receive, check, and store deliveries; minimize waste.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Work with the kitchen team during peak hours to ensure smooth service.
• Support chefs and senior staff by anticipating needs and completing tasks.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required by management to support kitchen success.

• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries following the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method to ensure ingredient freshness and minimize waste .
• Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations .

Team Support:

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service during peak hours .
• Support chefs and senior kitchen staff by anticipating their needs and completing tasks as assigned .
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required by the management to support the kitchen’s success .
