Job summary

Birds of Paradise is seeking a Service Crew member for our Singapore gelato boutique. You will work closely with the Boutique Supervisor to deliver delightful customer experiences and uphold our brand standards. This role includes opening, closing, scooping, cashiering, and maintaining hygiene while engaging warmly with guests.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Sheets/Docs.
• Some relevant working experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the boutique on time with accuracy.
• Scooping ice cream and cashiering.
• Greet customers with warmth and engage them tactfully.
• Prepare complementary products and maintain hygiene.
• Provide high level of cleanliness and sanitation.

The Service Crew is a customer-facing role at Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique that works closely with the Boutique Supervisor in delivering delightful experiences to every customer, according to company’s standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Punctual boutique opening; quick & complete closing
• Scooping of ice cream
• Greeting and engaging with customers with warmth and tact
• Cashiering
• Preparation of complementary products
• General cleaning & washing
• Maintaining high level of hygiene practices
• Creating a nurturing environment through positive language, feedback and teamwork
• Guide new service crew in the learning of technical skills and knowledge and inspire them to deliver their best
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise with relevant technical knowledge and skills
• Assist or lead at ad hoc off-site events (e.g. weddings, live-scoop events
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as reasonably assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or higher
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (excel, word) & Google Suites (google sheet, doc)
• Some relevant working experience preferred
• Full-Time shift work (9h work day, 5-day work week, including weekends & Public Holidays)
• Short-Term Contract and Part-Time options available (see below)

PART-TIME OPTION

• 6h work day, 4-day or 5-day work week

SHORT-TERM CONTRACT OPTION

• 9h work day, 5-day work week, 3- or 4-month contract option
