Job summary

BENCOOLEN ENTERPRISES PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a friendly, responsible Full-Time Gelato Shop Service Crew to join our team. You will provide excellent customer service, serve gelato, prepare waffles and beverages, and keep the shop clean and organized throughout the day.

Key duties include taking orders, handling payments, maintaining opening/closing procedures, stocking, and upholding hygiene and SOP standards in a fast-paced café environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in F&B, café, gelato, ice cream or retail service is preferred.
• Food Hygiene level 1 Certificate is required.
• Customer service, coffee making and waffle preparation experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers warmly.
• Scoop and serve gelato, prepare cups/cones, and maintain display standards.
• Prepare waffles and beverages following SOPs and recipes.
• Operate POS, process payments, apply promotions and record transactions.

Job description

We are looking for a friendly, responsible and customer-oriented Full-Time Gelato Shop Service Crew

to join our team.

You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, producing cones, serving gelato,

preparing waffles and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the shop operates smoothly

throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly and attentive service.
• Assist customers with gelato flavour recommendations and product enquiries.
• Explain the differences between regular and premium flavours when required.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the POS system.
• Ensure customers receive their orders correctly and promptly.
• Handle customer feedback and concerns professionally.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the shop.

Gelato Service

• Scoop and serve gelato according to the shop's serving standards and SOPs.
• Ensure the gelato is presented neatly and professionally.
• Prepare cups, cones and other serving items correctly.
• Maintain proper gelato display standards and cleanliness.
• Monitor gelato stock and inform the supervisor when replenishment is required.
• Follow proper opening and closing procedures for gelato storage and display freezers.

Food & Beverage Preparation

• Prepare waffles according to the shop's recipes and SOPs.
• Prepare coffee and other beverages according to company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the waffle and beverage stations and dining area.
• Ensure all food and beverage equipment is used safely and properly.

Cashiering & POS

• Operate the POS system accurately.
• Process cashless and cash payments correctly.
• Apply promotions, discounts and vouchers according to company guidelines.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.

Cleaning & Hygiene

• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, counters, dining area and workstations.
• Carry out daily opening, during-service and closing cleaning duties.
• Use the correct cleaning cloths, detergents, sponges and brushes according to SOPs.
• Ensure food preparation areas and equipment are kept clean and hygienic.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene requirements.

Stock & Operations

• Assist with daily stocktake and inventory checks.
• Receive and check incoming stock.
• Store ingredients, packaging and supplies properly.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor of low or damaged stock.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Follow all company SOPs and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in F&B, café, gelato, ice cream or retail service is preferred.
• Food Hygiene level 1 Certificate
• Customer service, coffee making & waffle preparation experience is an advantage.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, approachable and confident when interacting with customers.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Responsible, punctual and reliable.
• Able to work independently and follow instructions.
• Willing to perform cleaning and general shop duties.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Working Hours
