Job summary

Direct Search Global is seeking a detail-oriented Service Coordinator to oversee scheduling and administrative coordination for marine navigation and communication equipment. You will work closely with customers, service engineers, and internal teams to coordinate vessel attendance and ensure timely delivery of maintenance services.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with at least 3 years in the marine industry, and strong organisational and communication

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule service engineers for onboard inspections and maintenance.
• Handle customer enquiries and service requests with timely follow-up.
• Monitor vessel schedules and engineer availability for efficient resources.
• Prepare quotations, process orders and coordinate spare parts purchasing.
• Liaise with customers, vessel reps, suppliers and internal teams to ensure delivery.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports and customer data.
• Follow up on outstanding jobs and technical issues to completion.
• Assist with invoicing coordination and other admin tasks.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Service Coordinator to oversee service scheduling and administrative coordination for marine navigation and communication equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, service engineers, and internal teams to coordinate vessel attendance, manage service requests, and ensure the timely delivery of maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule service engineers for onboard inspections, repairs, maintenance, and other service assignments.
• Handle customer enquiries and service requests, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
• Monitor vessel schedules, engineer availability, and service progress to ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Prepare service quotations, process job orders, and coordinate purchasing requirements for spare parts and equipment.
• Liaise with customers, vessel representatives, suppliers, and internal departments to facilitate service delivery.
• Maintain accurate service records, job documentation, reports, and customer information.
• Follow up on outstanding service jobs, technical issues, and customer requirements through to completion.
• Assist with service administration, invoicing coordination, and other operational support duties.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the marine industry.
• Experience in service coordination, scheduling, or technical service administration is preferred.
• Good organisational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems.
• Chinese male candidate, with Cantonese-speaking ability and Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident status, subject to confirmation of the client’s specific hiring criteria.
