Job summary

SEARCH PERSONNEL PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Marine Service Engineer (Navigation & Communication) to provide installation, servicing, troubleshooting and commissioning support for marine navigation and communication systems aboard vessels and at shipyards in Singapore and overseas.

You will travel overseas as required, work overtime, and take ownership of service jobs from start to finish while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum ITE/Nitec/Higher Nitec or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 1–2 years hands-on experience troubleshooting marine navigation or communication equipment.
• Experience in marine, maritime, naval or defence industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation, servicing, troubleshooting and commissioning support for marine navigation and communication systems.
• Attend service assignments onboard vessels, at shipyards and customer locations in Singapore and overseas.
• Diagnose system faults and perform repairs, testing and rectification work.

• Position :Marine Service Engineer (Navigation & Communication)
• Location : Bulim Dr- Few bus stops from Boon Lay Interchange
• Working hours : 5 days/ (Monday- Friday, 8:30am-6:00pm)
• Salary(commensurate depending on experience) : Up to $5200 + AWS + Bonus + 14 days Annual Leave + OT
• Duration : Permanent
• Industry : Marine Navigation system -MNC

Main Responsibilities

• Provide installation, servicing, troubleshooting and commissioning support for marine navigation and communication systems.
• Attend service assignments onboard vessels, at shipyards and other customer locations in Singapore and overseas.
• Diagnose system faults and carry out appropriate repair, testing and rectification work.
• Provide technical advice and coordinate work performed by shipyards, contractors and other service partners.
• Take ownership of assigned service jobs and projects from commencement through completion.
• Ensure service and commissioning works meet company technical, safety and quality standards.
• Prepare service documentation and provide technical updates on completed work.
• Support customers with technical issues relating to marine navigation and communication equipment.
• Travel overseas and support overtime work when required by operational or vessel schedules.

Requirements:

• Minimum ITE / Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.

• At least 1 to 2 years of hands‑on experience troubleshooting marine navigation or communication equipment.
• Candidates with relevant technical experience from marine, maritime, naval systems, defence or related industries may also be considered.
• Experience with Radar and ECDIS systems will be advantageous.
• Able to perform troubleshooting, servicing and commissioning work independently.
• Comfortable working onboard vessels and within shipyard environments.
• Willing to work overtime and travel overseas at short notice when operationally required.
• Candidates with stronger relevant experience and demonstrated leadership capability may be considered for a Senior Service Engineer or Team Lead appointment.
