Job summary

HSBC Life Singapore seeks a senior Underwriter in High-net-worth (HNW) Insurance to evaluate medical and financial risks and approve complex cases. You will lead referrals, work with reinsurers, and mentor junior underwriters while contributing to QA audits.

You should have strong life, disability and critical illness underwriting experience, with an emphasis on HNW clients, and a university degree or professional designation such as ALU/FALU. Expect a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Strong underwriting experience in life, disability and critical illness insurance.
Specialisation in High-net-worth cases.
University degree or equivalent professional insurance designation (ALU/FALU) preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct medical, financial and compliance assessments per guidelines and risk framework.
Manage referrals for ultra large risks and oversee exposures with reinsurers.
Build relationships with partners to resolve complex underwriting queries.
Support junior underwriters and contribute to QA audits.
Review and refine guidelines to maintain market competitiveness.
Provide underwriting expertise for new product development and broader initiatives.
Identify process improvements to streamline workflow and boost efficiency.
