Job summary

Income Insurance Limited in Singapore is seeking a Senior Underwriter / Senior Executive – NB UW to assess and underwrite life and health insurance applications, including new business and policy servicing.

You will explain underwriting decisions to sales channels, provide service support, liaise with reinsurers on complex cases, and sign off underwriting letters. A diploma or degree is required; degrees in Insurance or Biomedical/Life Science are a plus.

Responsibilities

Assess and underwrite life and health insurance applications (new business and policy servicing) and decide if the risk can be accepted.
Explain underwriting decisions and requirements to the sales channels.
Provide service support and liaison for the sales channels.
Assist the sales channels on their queries related to underwriting requirements and underwriting decision.
Liaise with reinsurers on complex cases or refer cases to reinsurer if sum at risk exceeds treaty limits.
Check and sign off underwriting requirement letters and special terms letters prior to release.
To be involved in adhoc duties or projects related to underwriting.
