Job summary

Woh Hup Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control and contractual issues across Main and Sub-contracts on active projects in Singapore.

The role involves preparing monthly progress claims, variation orders, and payments to subcontractors, while overseeing post-contract administration and maintaining budgetary control. Collaboration with consultants, architects, and contractors is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities on projects worth at least $100 million.
• Candidates with knowledge in SIA Conditions of Contract, REDAS, FIDIC, FIDIC Short Form of Contracts will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors.
• Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control.
• Responsible in Post-Contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts.
• Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget.
• Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payment.
• Be familiar with various stages of projects so as to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials.
• Able to share new perspectives on cost, orders and claims.
• With the understanding of the contractual legal rights, he/ she will be involved in advising the management on their position of the contract from the tender stage.
