Job summary

CSC Holdings Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor in Singapore to support commercial and contractual management of construction projects. The role covers cost control, progress claims, variation orders, subcontract administration and final accounts.

You will work closely with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective cost management and proper administration of contractual matters throughout the project cycle.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant Quantity Surveying or Contracts experience in the construction industry.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, progress claims, variation orders, subcontract administration and cost control.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills with good attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of the Contracts and project teams.
• Well-organized and able to manage multiple projects, priorities and contractual deadlines.
• Candidates with experience in piling, foundation, geotechnical or civil engineering works will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review tender, contract and project documentation to understand contractual requirements, scope of works and commercial obligation.
• Assist in the preparation, review and finalization of main contract and subcontract documentation.
• Source quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, conduct commercial evaluations and negotiate pricing and contractual terms.
• Prepare and monitor monthly progress claims to clients or main contractors; recommend and certify interim payments for subcontractors.
• Manage the full spectrum of cost control including claims, variation orders, budgeting, cost estimation, and ongoing cost monitoring.
• Conduct site visits and measurements where required to verify work progress, quantities and variation works.
• Maintain proper records of contractual correspondence, instructions, claims, variations and other project documentation.
• Assist in resolving contractual and commercial issues with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Finalize project accounts efficiently and accurately upon project completion.
• Perform any ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned.
