Job summary

Avenue Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control, tendering, and sub-contractor pricing for civil engineering projects in Singapore. You will source vendors, compile quotations, and assist in budget management while attending site meetings.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in quantity surveying, with 3–5 years in civil works and proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD/3DS Max or SketchUp. Flexibility for on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of civil engineering/road works project experience.
• Knowledge of tendering processes and contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Office and common design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and manage project costs.

Responsibilities:

• QS roles & responsibilities including pre/post contract duties, taking off quantities, cost control, variations, finalization of cost and tender administrative orders
• To obtain sub -contractors and supplier’s quotation for costing and do cost comparisons
• To source for existing and new vendors, compilation of quotation & competitive prices and summarizing subcontracts, materials and equipment
• To manage overall project costs and budget
• To attend site meetings
• Any ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in quantity surveying or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years of working experience in the construction (civil engineering / road works)
• Knowledge in tendering processes and contracts
• Able to multi task and work independently while meeting tight deadlines
• Knowledge in MS office, AutoCAD, 3DS max/ sketch ups or equivalent
