Job summary

FOCAL SEARCH PTE. LTD. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage the full cycle—from supplier sourcing and RFQs to PO processing and delivery follow-up.

You will procure materials, monitor orders, and address delays, quality concerns and commercial issues, ensuring governance and accurate ERP records. The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor's in a related field and at least 2 years in procurement; experience in marine, offshore, or shipyard industries is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Maritime Studies or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
• Experience in marine, offshore, shipyard, engineering or technical service industries will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage full procurement cycle from supplier sourcing to delivery follow-up.
• Procure materials, equipment and services to support business needs.
• Monitor POs and supplier performance; address delays and quality issues.
• Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers based on quality, price and reliability.
• Support supplier onboarding and vendor data maintenance.
• Collaborate with teams to provide timely procurement support.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and governance.
• Maintain procurement records in ERP; ensure audit-ready documentation.
• Assist with procurement reporting and KPI tracking to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle, including supplier sourcing, RFQ issuance, quotation evaluation, price negotiation, purchase order processing and delivery follow-up.
• Procure materials, equipment and services to support business requirements.
• Monitor purchase orders and supplier performance, proactively addressing delivery delays, quality concerns and commercial issues.
• Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery performance, reliability and overall commercial value.
• Support supplier onboarding, vendor master data maintenance and regular supplier performance evaluations.
• Collaborate closely with relevant teams to ensure timely and effective procurement support.
• Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, approval procedures and procurement governance requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records in the ERP system, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and audit-ready.
• Assist with procurement reporting, KPI tracking and initiatives aimed at improving procurement efficiency, cost effectiveness and processes.
